Moments - Positives
It was an event of ups and downs. The moments that stood out were Saphire being bought by the Million Dollar Man and the feud between Savage / Rhodes coming to an end. Also a classic bout for the WWF tag team titles over long time feuding teams of Hart Foundation and Demolition. The Cage match for the WWF World title was pretty decent too - one of the better Warrior matches.
Moments - Negatives
An awful team of Volkoff and Dugan was certainly one of the more terrible moments of any PPV event. The card was average apart from the few highlights with forgettable feuds between stars. A lot of the matches just did not gel.
Overall Summary
Not a bad Summerslam that will be remembered for the Cage match itself and I guess a rather shoddy feud between Hogan and Earthquake. A few classic matches but not as strong as events in the past. I think the show demonstrated the uneven booking during the 1990/1991 years.
SCORE = 6.5
