Moments - Positives
Focusing on the positives of this event, the main event was clearly the focus of the show and in my opinion delivered. Two eliminations were delivered within about 10 minutes so that what we ended up with was a great bout between Triple H and The Rock. It was also a sad WWF wrestling farewell to Mick Foley and it was a great way to bow out. The IC/European, 2/3 falls match was also very good and showcased three of WWF's brightest talents at the time who all ended up winning the World title at some point. Speaking of great matches/talent, the Triangle Tag-Team Ladder match was simply excellent and paved the way for many future matches of this kind.

Moments - Negatives
Some really poorly thrown together matches such as Rikishi Kane v X-Pac/Road Dogg as the pre-main event match up. Too Cool were facing the Radicalz again and the less said about T&A v Head Cheese the better. Even the openner didnt exactly get people buzzing. It just felt like a standard PPV rather than the feeling you get when you watch a Wrestlemania.

Overall
Apart from a few really good matches, the PPV felt too average to be called special. Perhaps the build up was just over the top and would never deliver but I can think of many other Wrestlemanias that had better quality throughout and more of a feeling of occassion. Its a shame because the main event was really good and a few other matches were too. Also worth noting, this was the first ever Wrestlemania featuring a main event that was not a singles match and also the first ever Mania were the heel left with the WWF World Heavyweight title.

SCORE = 7.5
