Moments - Positives
A few classic moments from Wrestlemania 2. Firstly, the event is innovative and unique as it comes from three different arenas and timezones. This is quite well done and adds to the occasion of the event. The moments which really stand out include the British Bulldogs winning the WWF Tag Titles and celebrating with Ozzy Osbourne, Hogan giving classic interviews about his injury, Roddy Piper boxing with Mr T (which was very well done when compared to Wrestlemania 1). It is also worth noting that the Battle Royale included the Hart Foundation which was the first Bret Hart introduction on a PPV event. Randy Savage's feud with George Steele over Elizabeth was also very well done and the overall occasion really showed through. The PPV's main event was truly top notch as Hogan did the unthinkable and defeated Bundy in a Cage match (with an alleged injury). Truly Hulkamania was running wild at this event.
Moments - Negatives
A few matches really were poor during the event. Particularly bad was the Adrian Adonis match and the Women's match. The commentary throughout the event was truly awful, mainly because there were female commentators (no offence meant) used in three different locations. It truly soured the build up and the event. However, overall far fewer negatives than the first Mania....
Overall Summary
This was truly a great event and there was a huge sense of occasion coming through as a result of the three different locations used. Its crazy to think this event was actually held on a Monday night (the only one to be hold on a Monday). The main event was truly one for the ages and the Roddy Piper / Mr T showdown was a year in the making. Overall, a must see event!
