Moments - Positives
The show opened with a cracker of a Hardcore title match in which a mixture of 24/7 rules and Show/Raven meant you really were buzzing for the show. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Trish/Stephanie match and thought the storyline was brilliant. By far though, the best match I have seen in a while in the WWF during this era was Steve Austin v Triple H in what was probably both men's finest moments in the WWF ring. It was certainly the best HHH/Austin encounter by far. All three matches were excellent and really should have been main event. It was also good to see The Rock win the WWF title setting up Ausitn v Rock at Wrestlemania.
Moments - Negatives
Jerry Lawler v Steven Richards was silly and there was no need for it given the amount of talent WWF had at the time. The rest of the card was ok and I also felt that the World title match was not up to the usual Rock/Angle standards which was a shame.
Overall
I wouldnt call this a one match PPV because overall I enjoyed the whole show and felt it was a good PPV after an excellent Royal Rumble however you cannot deny that the Triple H / Austin match stood out and was probably the match of the year in 2001. It was brilliant and showed without shadow of a doubt that WWF were doing things right - clearly one of the final nails in the coffin of WCW.
SCORE = 9.0
